Food Bank opening in the Community Cafe

With the support of our charity partners, VGCC is running a foodbank starting this Friday 7th May from 11 am to 2 pm. This will be a rolling event taking place every Friday, based in the café at the community centre, 5 Glasshouse Walk, London, SE11 5ES.

This is a completely free service for our local community.

VGCC would like to do our bit to support those in need, so please help us spread the word.

All are welcome, and if you are, or know anyone vulnerable or unable to come to the centre in person please do let us know and we will endeavour to arrange a delivery.

Alternatively, if you have the capacity and wish to volunteer, donate or help out in any way, we would love to hear from you also!

Please ensure you wear face mask when attending unless exempt.

RSA Civic Day

Through our partnership with Cool it Art we had volunteers from the RSA for their annual civic day to help transform and clear parts of the community centre. 50 volunteers turned up to take part in the day in various tasks; from painting murals in the Neon Performing Arts Studios, brightening up our cafe, clearing out our basement, writing about VGGC’s illustrious history in it’s 30 years of serving the community; enthusiastically engaging in any task set!

Pleasure Project Launch & Tea Party!

To celebrate the “Pleasure” returning to the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens in the form of a glowing pink neon sign we held a tea party for the Artists, Management Committee, Staff and others showing support for the project – culminating in the light being turned on which was greeted with a big cheer!

We are very excited to house this innovative project on our roof – and look forward to many more projects to come!

Congratulations again to the Artists involved – especially Vicky for all her hard work on this project
